VILT and Caixa Geral de Depósitos (CGD), the largest Portuguese Bank, designed and developed CaixaDirectaOnline, the biggest Portuguese home banking system, based on Vignette V7 VCM. The major challenges were to improve the service usability, creating at the same time an attractive and modern look; and to empower the home banking site as an important sales channel. The results speak for themselves: the customers like the service and the on-line sales of credit cards increased 200%.
The Portuguese Railways (CP - Caminhos de Ferro Portugueses) wanted to explore the potential of the web to build a modern image of the company and offer innovative services. The result of VILT and CP joint work is an innovative Transportation Portal in Europe, offering electronic ticket sales and real time alerts to end customers, special services like cargo tracking for cargo customers, a fans' site and a kid's site. All of this built in a record time of 4 months based on Vignette V7 ECM Products.
